Understand file processing before Agent work
Why Reia prepares uploaded files before underwriting questions.

Processing turns uploaded deal materials into workspace-ready context. Reia is not just converting a file into text. It prepares document structure, pages, tables, spreadsheet context, images, and source references so the rest of the workspace can use the material more precisely.
Why processing matters
This preparation is why processing can take time, especially for large PDFs, scans, spreadsheets, or files with complex layouts. The payoff is better review work: source references can point back to the right material, file briefs can orient you faster, and the Agent can answer with stronger context.
Processed files help Reia keep the shape of the original material in view. A number in a rent roll, a clause in a loan agreement, and a table in an operating statement can each carry different context. Processing gives the workspace more of that context before the Agent starts underwriting work.
When to process files
Process files before asking Reia to rely on them for source-heavy work. You can keep working while processing runs, then return to Processing to review completed or failed items.
Processing uses the shared workspace credit balance. If a processing action cannot start because credits are low, open Settings, then Billing, and top up the workspace balance.
If processing fails
If a file fails, retry processing once. If the same file fails again, contact support with the deal name, file name, approximate time, and the status shown in Reia.
