Working documents save automatically while you edit. You can also save with Cmd+S on Mac or Ctrl+S on Windows and Linux.## Save statesThe editor header shows the current save state.Saved means the latest edits are saved. Unsaved means you have local edits that still need to save. Saving means a save is in progress. Rebased means another saved update was applied while keeping your draft. Conflict means the document changed elsewhere before your edit saved. Error means the document did not save.## RecoverIf you see conflict, stop editing that document. Use Reload when it appears, or refresh the workspace and reopen the document. Review the latest text before continuing. If you see error, wait a moment and try saving again. If the status stays on error, refresh the workspace, reopen the document, and confirm your latest edits. If a teammate is editing the same document, coordinate before continuing. For high-stakes memo sections, keep edits small and review the saved text before moving to the next section.Contact support if a document repeatedly shows conflict or error after refresh.
