Use the command palette to open panels, documents, inputs, statements, search, and workspace actions without leaving the keyboard.

Open commands

Open the command palette with Cmd+K on Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux. Backquote is also available as a browser-safe fallback.

Global shortcuts

  • ? opens keyboard help.
  • Cmd+Shift+? or Ctrl+Shift+? opens the same help view.
  • / opens search when a workspace is open.
  • g starts go-to navigation.
  • Cmd+/ or Ctrl+/ shows key tips.
  • Alt+W closes the active panel.
  • Alt+[ or Alt+] moves between pane tabs.
  • Alt+Shift+[ or Alt+Shift+] moves between panes.
  • Alt+Shift+, or Alt+Shift+. moves between sheets.

Local shortcuts

Local shortcuts depend on the panel.

In chat, / opens commands, @ opens the file picker, Enter sends, and Shift+Enter adds a new line.

In documents, Cmd+S or Ctrl+S saves, Cmd+B or Ctrl+B bolds, and Cmd+I or Ctrl+I italicizes.

In Input tables, arrow keys move between cells, Enter edits or accepts, and Esc cancels.

In the Library table, ArrowUp, ArrowDown, J, or K moves the highlighted row; Enter or Space opens; X selects; Backspace or Delete removes.

Some browser and operating-system shortcuts can conflict. If a shortcut does not work, open Show keyboard shortcuts from Help and use the listed alternative.
